Well it seems the Société des alcools du Québec (aka the SAQ), is getting ready to raise the prices of hard liquor starting March 3. Read on…

According to a report from CTV, the SAQ will be jacking up prices on hard liquor by 3%. Other liquor will also be the victim of increased prices by approximately 2%. The only thing which seems to remain stable for the time being is the price of wine.

With regards to the price increase, the SAQ was quoted as saying, “Since 2002, the SAQ has had the lowest inflation rate in Canada with respect to wine and spirits prices”.

So alcoholics, drink up, stock up, or be the victim of higher prices.
