If you spend as much time in Montreal’s downtown core as I do, you might have noticed the ginormous “Guaranteed Milk” bottle near Lucien-L’Allier which, if it’s contents held true to it’s image would have long gone sour. Some argue it’s a landmark while others feel it is taking up much-needed real estate. Most recently you may have noticed that the bottle is surrounded in scaffolding. What’s going on? You might be wondering what incited me to dream up a title such as the latter for this entry. Well, besides the fact that it’s always fun to talk like a pirate, tomorrow is actually the annual “International Talk Like a Pirate Day”. There’s an official website, so it must be legit, right? It seems to be all the latest craze — Flash Mobs popping up everywhere for every imaginable cause. The latest will be coming up next Monday, September 21 to promote world peace.
