Later today will be the close of the 12th Annual Monopoly Championship being held at the Science Center in the Old Port. The grand Monopoly champion will earn himself not only a nifty title but walks away with a very modest (cough) $15,000. The Monopoly Championship has been underway since Thursday, May 28. In all, 48 competitors have been battling it out.

Well, the Opus transit smart card’s transition period is coming to an end as of this Monday at midnight (aka June 1). What does that mean for transit users like myself? Read on… (more…)

Anyone remember this childhood cartoon aired on our beloved Ceeb? I sure do! It was the story of raccoon Bert and his two sidekicks, Ralph and Melissa whose aaardvark friend, Cedric, had a crazed, capitalist-driven father, Cyril. Plot lines would revolve around the Evergreen Forest and The Raccoons would always end up saving their home in the forest while teaching viewers about the pitfalls of capitalism and elements such as teamwork.
