Well, it’s been a while since we last talked! Between, school, work, and my creative side projects keeping this blog up-to-date has been a challenge in itself. Anyway, here we go again! With the warmer weather and the end of another semester, here are some cool local updates for you all!

Buy Local Day:

A little late, I know, but here it is anyway… Quite simply put, support your local merchants! Spend a little and feel good about helping out an independent business. All the details can be found here: http://www.buylocalday.ca/en

Montreal Library Sale:

Check it out! Montreal’s Libraries are doing some spring cleaning. Find over 85,000 documents all priced at $1 or less. The sale will be taking place at Etinne-Desmarteau Arena (3430 Bellechasse East) From Saturday, April 25th til Sunday, May 3rd between 1 and 7.

According to the ville, “the sale’s objectives are to extend the useful life of these books, help spread the joy of reading, and allow Montréal citizens to develop their personal libraries, at a minimum price. Amounts collected at this sale will be reinvested in the funding of animation activities in Montréal public libraries.”

Now, it’s up to you! Log on to http://www.ffm-montreal.org/fr_affiche_2009.html to check out the current nominees. Submissions gotta be put in by e-mail!
